FOUNDATIONS

Where to begin if you’re new to reformer Pilates or to our studio. These classes are designed to introduce you to the reformer, foundational sequences & the flow of our studio.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through a series of foundational exercises that emphasise technique and body awareness. Not only perfect for new clients, but also recommended for seasoned Pilates pro’s looking to refine their technique & build upon their practice.

*New clients are recommended to attend 1-5 sessions as a starting point
*Suitable for pregnancy <13 weeks

With 4 different class types available, you are guaranteed to find a session suitable to your experience, mood & energy on any given day. All of our classes ensure a whole-body workout with our highly skilled instructors continually offering options for layering throughout.

Our signature class at Launceston Pilates. 

Expect a fun, flowing class with the perfect mix of strength, stretch and mobility. All classes guarantee a full body workout with options available for progression and challenge throughout.

PRENATAL

Pregnant and looking to continue/join Pilates? Look no further - we have classes designed to keep you feeling strong and mobile throughout your pregnancy! We have 2 options available:

~ Prenatal (6:30pm Thursdays) is a dedicated class for expectant parents. The perfect mix of strength, stretch & mobility, plus you will have the opportunity to meet other new parents to-be.

~ Open* (5:30pm Monday & 10am Saturday) are our regular sessions that have pregnancy-safe modifications provided throughout. Great for if you’re unable to attend the Prenatal class OR are looking to add additional sessions to your routine.

The above classes are designed in accordant with the RANZCOG 2020 guidelines for Exercise during Pregnancy.

*Please check with your GP/Obstetrician/Midwife prior to your first class to make sure Pilates is not contraindicated during your pregnancy

8-WEEK POSTNATAL COURSE

Our carefully designed 8-week postnatal program will focus on global strength, abdominal rehabilitation and stretch/mobility whilst recovering from your vaginal/caesarean birth. Plus, you can choose to bring your baby along to join in on the fun!

~ Running over 8 consecutive weeks
~ Total cost $224 ($28/session)
~ Recommended for those >6 weeks postpartum / once you’ve received the ‘go-ahead’ from a relevant health professional
